bo7 accounts Christmas Zombies Guide - Mission Preparation – Loadout & Field Gear
Before you deploy, prepare a loadout that is optimized for survival as well as completing the challenge objectives. No matter if you are running the game solo or with a team, preparation is crucial. Here is a recommended arsenal for both solo operatives as well as fireteams.
Other Gear: Always have a self-revive kit (if you're alone, an emergency Self Revive Kit is your lifeline). Self-Revive Kits are a must for co-op. They can be made or purchased to ensure that a fallen teammate is able to get back up even if the others cannot reach them. If you can, also keep Stimshots (or healing injectors) in your tactical slots. They'll come in handy when you need to sprint between fires, or take a boss hit.
Once you're ready, it's time to get down to business. Keep in mind that you should stick to the original plan but also be prepared to make changes.
BO7 Christmas Zombies guide
The Listkeeper Challenge forms the core of Christmas Zombies - a series deadly trials set up by some "holiday ghosts" testing naughty against nice. The only way to earn the event camo (such as Mutilate or Infestation), is by completing this gauntlet. Here is your tactical walkthrough for both solo and cooperative play:
Objective 1: Warm the map by lighting the beacons
You will find that the map is covered in a harsh winter chill when you spawn. The first thing you need to do is light up a series beacon fires all around the starting area. Sprint to each brazier marked on the map and ignite them. There are a few (reports claim three) fire locations. Hit them fast. Do it at the start of each round, before rounds ramp up. Solo you only have moments to light them all. The co-op team can split and take turns lighting a fire. Once all of the fires are lit the deep freeze (the frost) will subside and the game will progress.
The fires are easy to start, but the importance of them is that they keep you warm when outside and allow the next tests to begin. The Listkeeper hasn't yet given you a camo reward, but he will give you a pat of the back. Look out for any audio cues or prompts that will confirm success. Once you hear "the frost is fading", you'll know that you have succeeded. Now is the time to move forward.
BO7 Christmas Zombies
Listkeeper now tests your loyalty. To put it simply: Pack-Apunch your gun, apply the Ammo Mod and upgrade its rarity. You must fully invest into one gun. Gather 5,000 Essence quickly to pack-apunch the machine. Note that if power was not already on, in this mode it is already active from the beginning, so Pack-a-Punch can be accessed immediately (a perk of the Listkeeper Challenge). After PAP, add an ammo-mod (e.g. Cryofreeze is a good default. Salvage can be used to upgrade the rarity of your gun on the Arsenal bench.
You'll receive a cue to completion once your weapon has been upgraded, modified, and Pack-apunched: "Bound with your weapon". You were steadfast. Your loyalty has been noted." Listkeeper has acknowledged that you haven't hesitated to upgrade. Moonstone Camo Unlocked. At this stage, players report unlocking the Moonstone Camo. An "endgame tier" camo that reflects your dedication. You're doing well if you take a minute to admire your gun.
Tactical tips: Maximize point gain during this step - kill zombies efficiently. (If you want to get more points per kill or melee early rounds if possible, body shots are best). If you're playing in co-op with another player, combine resources. Have one person train zombies and the other get kills so that they can reach 5000 Essence faster. You can then switch roles to complete the next pack. All players must PAP at the very least one weapon to survive, but usually only one is needed to meet the challenge. (Check if it is a team-based objective or an individual one - one PAP should be enough to satisfy this). As soon as you are done, have each member of the team pack-a-punch their weapon. This will give them more firepower for later rounds.
Your upgraded gun is in your hand and you are ready to face the challenges ahead. Keep your weapon handy - you will rely heavily on it.
BO7 Christmas Zombies Guide - Objective 3 : Destroy Snowmen and Free the Frozen dead
This cryptic arrow points out the snowmen scattered across the map. These aren't holiday decorations - these are zombies trapped in ice. Find and destroy 10 zombie-trapped snowmen. Every time you destroy a snowman (spawn), an undead is "set free". You'll have to kill them. Do this ten more times.
Navigation: You can hide snowmen in corners or outdoor areas. The team can move in groups to cover the open areas of the map. Listen out for zombie moans and crackling ice. If you're playing solo, it might be helpful to take a circuitous route around the world to find snowmen, and keep one zombie alive between rounds.
After you smash the last snowman, you will hear something similar to: "You gave freedom and even your enemies who were frozen felt gratitude." The sound indicates that all required snowmen have been destroyed. Some of the snowmen may drop mid-game loot and power-ups as a reward (sometimes, destroyed snowmen will drop goodies). Most importantly, by releasing the frozen zombies you have shown mercy.
It is not mentioned which camo you unlock in this intel. However, it is necessary to continue your quest. You may receive a camo or other reward if you complete this quest. Continue to push forward.
Survival tip: If you're hunting snowmen and the map contains a frostbite mechanic then stay near heat sources. (Like the beacons that you lit, or other barrels on fire). If you are too far away from the heat, you can still feel the cold. One operator commented, "I feel like a freaking frozen icicle." Do not be the one who says, "Look at that." When your screen begins to freeze, run to the nearest fire to melt it. In co-op play, keep each other busy by covering one another. One person can shoot the snowman targets while the second keeps zombies occupied.
